DataKind

DataKind brings researchers (primarily statistics experts) and NGOs together.

Formerly known as Data Without Borders, DataKind brings researchers (primarily statistics experts) and NGOs together.

The experts work with the NGOs to help analyse and interpret data collected during their aid projects, enabling the NGOs to improve and better target their aid programmes, since they have a better understanding of what needs are most important in their regions and in their areas of work. DataKind has also recently collaborated with the refugee organisation Refugees United. Another interesting feature are the so-called DataDives, i.e. hackathons in which people meet to aggregate, analyse and build prototype projects using the data.
