Alle-Helfen-Jetzt (All-Help-Now), a platform launched by the municipality of Berlin in 2015, allows local organizations helping refugees to strengthen their projects. The idea is for socially-conscious businesses to decide among the creative ideas that they want to fund.
Among the initiatives that have been successfully funded and launched so far, is Rails-for-Refugees. This project aims to provide refugees with classes to learn programing. (Remember, Steve Jobs was the son of a Syrian man!) Another promising project showcased on the website, is from the Berlin-based organization Cadus, which hopes to collect funds for sea rescue operations in the Mediterranean.
In comparison to other crowdfunding platforms, this one targets a specific group of people, refugees, and presents a diverse range of projects to help them.
