OpenAid is a graphically appealing part of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) which works globally towards transparency in international development. The website contains graphics showing how much money Sweden has spent in recent years on international development, what for and in which countries. Nobody else has done this and managed to make it look so pretty. Taxpayers can see what their money is used for and it’s potentially a first contribution to a global database for transparency in international development.
